Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) said that among all human beings he loves one whose character is best (Hadith).

The total number of qualities or numerous (good/bad) that a man possesses is called his/her character. Character is a greater factor in human life. Punctuality and discipline are the surest qualities of fine character. A man of characteristics one who can make his influence felt among his fellow human beings. He stands out from the common run of mankind by virtue of his distinctive and academic qualities. Most people have no individuality of their own they are just cheap. They are colourless shadows without any special mark to distinguish them from others. But a man of good character is easily recognised by his behaviour, conduct, opinion, and by his bearing. All the men in history were men of character, otherwise they would never have achieved name or fame.

The main component of character is moral courage. Moral courage means the courage to face hatred criticism and hardship for the sake of what we believe to be right. It requires a lot of courage to follow a course of action at which most people laugh. A person who breaks social custom and conventions must have courage. A man must have mountains of courage before he decides to face day-to-day problems.

A man does not believe in diplomacy to achieve an end. Honesty is an important part of character. A man of character does not like corrupt and other anti-social practices. He fights for right causes. He is a believer in justice and fairness. He does not like to grow millionaire (rich) by unfair and corrupt means.

Moreover, character is the capacity to act, to do things and to give them a practical shape. A man of character is never governed merely by sentiments and is consulted in his actions. As a matter of fact, character is a good combination of various qualities such as moral, courage, honesty, integrity, firm determination, capacity of action and faith in one’s ability. All the great men of the world possessed these qualities. We should also try to achieve some of them, at least, if not all of them.

{A noble man should not feel shame in observing four things: (1) To stand up in respect of his parents; (2) to serve his guest; (3) to take care of his domestic animals; (4) to serve his mentor.
